The care of ferrets

For centuries the ferret has been used to help man catch rabbits.  Most of this time it was in no way respected for its work.  Today with well established clubs and societies for the ferret, many are, in fact, just kept as pets and it has, at last, gained the respect it deserves.

With the assistance of some members of the Wessex Ferret Club, this video looks at many of the welfare subjects which affect this charming little animal: housing, breeding, handling, feeding, veterinary care, equipment and fund raising.
